Likely it is a bad needle/seat......or you got some dirt stuck in there.

After draining 2 qts of oil and about 2 more of gas this spring, I thought I had a problem with the needle and seat also.  After disassembly and inspection, it turned out to be the o-ring that seals the seat body in the carb. It had dried out and cracked allowing fuel past the needle seat body. Luckily the needle and seat (about $50) was ok, and a $6 o-ring fixed the problem. You might want to check that o-ring too.

Well, My bad sort of. The o-ring was really  $4.05, but I ordered 4 other parts as well, and the shipping was 9.95 which added 2 bucks to each part in my order, ergo, a $6 o-ring.  Still better than $50   Wink
