LS650P Right Hand Controls (Read 79 times)

Posts: 5	LS650P Right Hand Controls 04/24/18 at 07:43:32 My Right hand controls with the kill switch and starter button went bad and I am having a hard time finding the right replacement. Does anyone know where i can find them or have one or know of an aftermarket one that will work. The part number is 37200-24C80. Thanks in advance.

Figured the next thing was the controls.

Posts: 17783 Camp Springs, Kentucky Gender:	Re: LS650P Right Hand Controls Reply #3 - 04/24/18 at 08:21:27 It could also be a kick stand safety switch.....when it goes bad the starter system believes the kick stand is down, and it won't let the starter energize. The symptoms are the same as a faulty starter switch.

I thought the kickstand safety was if you tried putting it in gear with the kickstand down it would kill the engine?

OK.....I got confused - the side safety switch can kill the engine when it is in gear, and keep the bike from starting.

It could also be the clutch safety switch that prevents the starter from working.

Either unplug them and test for continuity....or use a jumper and see if the problem goes away.

(For reliability reasons I have disconnected and removed these circuits from my bike. I am old, and learned to ride before motorcycles had these safety switches).

Someday I will be old......But not today!
