Bobber bags!!
04/22/18 at 21:47:45

I want to add a swing arm bag to my bobber project. Currently no rear fender and still running springs. Will eventually convert it to a hard tail. I'd like to see any of your bikes with a swing arm bag or custom type storage ideas.

Sorry this doesn't have anything to do with bags , but have you considered removing your shocks and  trying struts ,to see if a hardtail is really to your liking . I road my  Savage bobber many years (8), long before  VV, Ryca, or BCB  existed.  2000 mile trip,up to a 650 mile days ,but I retained the shocks and proper handling  ,my 66 yr old back and kidneys. Struts should show you what your really getting into before spending big money .

You might consider a tank bag or handlebar bag...
I have a leather fanny pack mounted on my bars, and inside it I carry a thin nylon over the shoulder duffle, in case I buy something and need to tote it home.

I welded tabs to the right side of the swingarm and put on an ammo can.

I haven't tried doing the strut swap over which is a good idea, it's more so my cruise around town and to work bike. Less than 20 miles one way for work.  When I do the conversion I'm going to have a custom leaf spring for the seat made. I do have a small bag under my headlight was just jostling ideas to keep from wearing a back pack every time I go some where. I usually carry a lunch and a few other may need items but would like to toss on a cool bag or custom set up that I can throw that stuff in.
