If atheism was to become the governing norm, religion could not live within its dictates.

What dictates?...
Religions have a god dictating certain rules..
Atheism has no dictates... because it has no god.

So, anything is fair with atheism then?

Morality and religion are two different things.

Christianity tells you stone to death your neighbour if he works on the Sabbath...
It also tells you not to steal...
Your morality tells you which one to follow and which to ignore...
Atheists have morality without having to parse God's bullshit.

No, it doesn't say those things. That would be like ignoring a couple hundred years of court cases that have expanded the meaning of the Constitution.

I guess you don't know what the New Testament is or what Jesus accomplished for us.

Jesus SAVED a lamb on the Sabbath.
You need to WANT to understand instead of Want to prove the message of the bible wrong

Atheism has no dictates... because it has no god.

The, ‘dictates’, that Atheism has,
are, DICTATES, that a person,
does NOT,  Believe in ANY  deities.
(And If one believes in any deities,
        their mind is inferior)

In the past,  Communists/Socialists Have,
called themselves, ‘Atheists’, or ‘Agnostics’.
Because their is no, ‘God’, their is no, ‘Afterlife’,
so their is NO  REASON, to lead a good life,
or to be a, ‘moral’, person.
It is Only, Live for Today.

Today, ‘Atheists’, do have,
 a  ‘church/following/gathering’, of sorts.
(That would be if you are a card caring, atheist)
So today, that,  ‘church/following/gathering’,
        Says  different.
Just like the Catholic Church says, their was NO  Pope Joan.

Atheists, changed the ‘belief’, in Non Believing in a, 'God',
           to just, ’not believing’,
which, without saying, ‘WHAT’ they are, non believers of,
brings the point, right back to:
   They Believe, in Non Believing.
         (Which IS, a, ‘Belief’)

Agnostic, is the belief in not believing in anything.
                (That is Religious)
(WHAT, is that word, BELIEF, doing their again)

So a, Agnostic, has always said:
 'They just don't believe'
And now a, Atheist, is saying:
'They just don't believe'
And now, the difference is ???
(Like anyone in the WORLD, Gives a Hoot)

As it is clear that the people on this form,
who describe themselves as, agnostic/atheist,
     DO,  believe
They 'Believe',  in Abortion.
And 'Believe', Guns are BAD.
And 'Believe', that if you dont, 'Believe', like them, you are inferior.
And golly Wally, what is that, BELIEF, about the current POTUS ?

Now, (again)
, for the Panty in a Bunch people.
I think, MOST, people,
 don't give ONE HOOT,
if someone believes, or doesn't believe in a 'God'.

The problem is;
one, group that believes, says:
'"If you don't believe what I tell you to believe,
              I will KILL  you"

And a group, that does Not believe, says:
"If you do believe, it is apparent
that the, Non Believers,
are far Superior to you"

Ben Franklin once said: "If you give up a freedom, for the sake of security, you will have neither".

So we agree then, atheism, equal elitism......

I, as a believer in the resurrection, KNOWS, he is a sinner, a loser, and on my own, I would ensure my welfare, over anybody else’s....

Gee.

But if I adopted Bots way, that would be ok.

Gee.

Can I change my mind?  Grin

Golly......

Did someone take their ball home?

Which, is ANOTHER example of what I was trying to convey on this here thread:

http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1523040149

Keep your GD expressions out of the public arena, I don’t care to see you worship a fairytale.....
However, I am allowed to, and support my right for folks who disagree with any public policy, to display their belief with acting out, even destroying property, if need be, to express myself, publicly  Huh

Gee, that really doesn’t seem sustainable, is it?

Your brain must look like a pretzel...
Where do you get these ideas?... Is there a handbook or something that I'm not aware of?...

Dawg?... Who would make the rules?...
Who makes them now?.
We have, or are supposed to have, a Constitution and system of laws that govern all the people of all religions and no religion.
A separation of church and state.
Without "Jesus",... the same law structure would exist.
We have an atheist governance now.
Lawmakers are supposed to set their god aside when crafting laws.  It's when they don't that they get themselves in trouble.

Christians choose to disregard the Old Testament...
... when it suits them...
Other times they pluck little nuggets of bigotry and hate to impose their will upon others.
Fire n' hell and brimstone!!  and all that whatnot...
Religion is a nasty business...

Where does it say they disregard their beliefs?

If I have no foundation, then who decides, atheist?

Going in circles, tell me why your belief, to not believe, TRUMPS  Grin
