Stitches out.....
03/26/18 at 13:52:43

OK, no more stitches, they came out this morning....
My doctor removed them all, she said it looks really good.
I still have one small area that is still open/gaped, but not a biggie.

I can't work still, bummer, I was hoping to go back to work, not for another week, arg......
If it wasn't raining, and I could work outside, but this so called spring is wet and snowy still.

So, before you guys put on your helmet..... what else do you do if its sunny out, before you go riding?

A non answer is the same as a wrong answer.....
You will be punished accordingly.

Raw nuts that are oily.
Heavy dose of vitamin C or magnesium.
Plenty of water.
And, just to keep you feeling good about your efforts, even when you get over the opioid poop lock, you're Still gonna be fulloshit.

I hope so, one little scratch ain’t gonna kill this cat  Grin

As to pain meds, hate them....
It was like with booze, if they didn’t have side effects, I woulda been toast.
Booze and hangovers kept me from the edge.
Opioids and the skin crawling let down makes it only doable when the pain is unbearable.
You wanna buy my stash  Grin

You know the feeling bro?

Gawd, why folks think poison will cure them, what was I thinking  Grin

I was on Vicodin for over a year, back a few decades ago after 3 back surgeries....
Coming down off that stuff was like trying to land a Cessna 150 in a hurricane...... CROSSWIND too! haha.....

Dangerous stuff is you have a addictive type personality.
Seems like with advances in technologies, and science, we would have found some type of pain blocker that could work without having a crash or becoming habitual.... yes?

I know about the
Getting off.
Done it many times.
Injuries, surgeries, dang..
And I don't appreciate the itching
Or Concrete CaCa
BUT
Being able to look at what needs done and not choosing to ignore it because I know how much it's gonna hurt me to do it
Makes it worth it.

Yeah, I hear ya.
I often think I endure too much pain for caution.
Getting older is sure to bring more needs, but I will never relax my fear of the stuff....
It has unwillingly ruined many lives of folks way smarter and wiser than me, and none of them were of the druggie nature or mentality.
It’s like swimming in the ocean, why a shark chooses one victim over another, we will never know, but once in the grip of its teeth, it wouldn’t help anyway.

I used to be "ideologically opposed" to medication - chemicals are poison type thing. I was a certified health nut. I hadn't been to a doctor for over 10 years.

Then I had an injury that resulted in two years of chronic pain. The pain killers probably saved my life. Now I look at medication as just another form of technology, like engines, or computers. We may as well use advances in science for the well-being of ourselves and others.

I also learned that 'ideals' are great and all, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do Wink

Wow, what a awesome story, I am like so hungry to hear more of it.
You feel like sharing it?
I would love to hear a little more in depth to your thoughts and reasoning before, as to how you came about such a belief, and then had the conviction and strength to admit your wrong, adopting a complete change as such is not a easy task....
Not so much from the physical component, but from the mental side of our being....
I understand if you decline, this format is extremely easy to misinterpret things  Grin

Thanks for what you already shared!

Ray, I'm a lot like you.
A guy called me "2 faced" the other day -
I laughed and said: "If I was truly 2 faced would I have chosen this one ??!!"
