Ohiomoto ,raises a point, not many people are aware that even new oil should be stored at a constant temperature or it will degrade even before use .Rather than store oil in my unheated garage (in N.Y.) in the winter an subject it to temperature swings ,I store it in my basement , and I change oil in the bike in spring knowing the oil that sat in the bike all winter is not good ,even if I had put fresh oil in it in fall .Dave having  a heated garage ,does not have to contend with this problem.
