Hello everyone, my 06 ls650 has a Lancer carb ,a  Lancer stage 3 cam ,and a Dyna muffler. replacing the stock header with 1.5 id header will be  expensive, [$500} I'm OK with the cost if it helps. any advise about a larger id header?

$500 is crazy.  Find a local muffler shop with a person who really knows the cutting and bending of pipe, order a pipe from them and then have them bend it to match the stock header.  You can cut the head off the stock pipe and have it welded to the new pipe.
Unless you live in an expensive area you should be able to do everything for less than $100.
It is helpful to have the bike there during the process so you can test fit the new pipe and make corrections on the spot.

If you are going strictly for performance, 1 1/2 ID sounds about right for your combination. If sound has priority over performance, larger ID will give deeper tone. Just don't go so big that it hurts the low speed power.

The MAC header is too large, it has a 1 3/4" ID.
You do not want anything larger than 1 3/4" OD, with 1 5/8" ID.
For your engine a 1 1/2" is good
