Getting active.......???!

I can see two giant volcanoes from where I live.
I believe I am far enough away that I would not get debris falling in me, but ash, heck yes.
It would not be a pretty thing

Yeah, Ray, on a rare clear day we can see Rainier and Adams from Gig Harbor. An eruption, although unlikely, would be a real game changer here. Fortunately, prevailing winds are from the southwest, so, much like the St Helens eruption in 1980, most of the ash fall would go east and land on Wenatchee, Moses Lake, and Yakima. But the mud flows would wipe out the Puyallup and Nisqually valleys, killing thousands. On a lighter note, homes and real estate would become affordable again!

I left Ohio in 74 when the Army got me, and never looked back. Tornados in the summer and ice in the winter. Glad to leave, but I admit the weather here can get depressing.

I used to worry about volcanoes erupting...but then I let this subliminal advertising work on me. I don't worry about anything now

The company that I flew for owned mount St. Helens. The CEO wanted to see the damage from the eruption for himself so we flew around it.
It was incredible! Most of the top of the mountain simply disappeared. And the damage to our trees was terrible. :'(
Mother Nature and all that. Our puny efforts don't even come close.
