10 miles is not very far to us and I suspect a quick pick gas station is a lot closer -- morning coffee can be had there for less than a buck, generally.
I think the biggest organized meal of the trip will be the meet up meal at Ruby Tuesday, as Ruby was picked simply because it had free wifi and I could see where MM was located on the road while reading a book as I waited.
Although the salad bar at Ruby is healthy enough, the burger that comes with it is a half pound of meat with double crossed full slices of thick bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickle, mayo --- it is a true premium burger with all that comes with it.
This old man doesn't eat that many half pound burgers any more, so I will likely will take half with me in a take out box and eat it cold at camp for a snack later on.
Got to have something stupid, beefy and bacon flavored sitting in my hot saddle bag to attract all them hungry blind snakes, armadillos, pythons, feral hogs, black bears and gators after we go to bed after all ......
Same smell (half digested) drifting out from the tent flap and vents might fetch them just about as well, you know that them larger pigs, pythons, bears and gators surely do like catching and eating them a couple of ripe old farts all tortilla wrapped in a sleeping bag.
Semi-wild pigs have no fear of human beings, remember ..... and eating them some long pork that smells of bacon is jest a bit of "turn about is fair play" to them. And certainly the gators don't care, no fear of people at all ......
