There's a motor that can (slowly and loudly, there's video if you follow the link) make it stick out the side or retract back in to the position in the photos . I just hope he had fun building it. I'd wager he did!

Personally, I like his rear suspension/swingarm modification. I think I've seen something similar by one of the builders on this forum.
