Let's say you are the CHIEF mechanic on a race car, that car is setting records and burning up the competition and winning, then, something fails in it's engine.... You've been bragging about how awesome you are as a mechanic and how you're procedures/policies made it so... but now something YOU WERE TAKING CREDIT FOR has FAILED, so, either you AREN'T as good as you thought you were , now if you have integrity, you take responsibility for that failure, you work to fix it and move on. but yes, that means you have to admit that you aren't perfect.
Maybe Trump's policies will over all improve the economy, but those same policies might make the stock market a bit bumpier than it has been in the past 8 years.

No, he doesn't. He'll just continue to think that all the good things are his doing while all the bad things are someone else's fault...
