Choosing to no longer participate in a system that is corrupt and has demonstrated that regardless of whether we participate or not the results are always disappointing doesn't mean that we must stop caring about how things are.
That you need that explained to you is certainly not a surprise.
That's just how intellectually dishonest people are. We have to continually force them to see what real thinking looks like.
