Ya'll may not believe this ... : when I first got my current S-40 it had less than 5,000 miles . One of the first things I did was to modify the cam tensioner w/extention hole and softer spring (1/3 as strong). Now the bike has right at 40,000 miles and here is a picture of what the tensioner looks like now. I put a new clutch disk in last week and it might be one more click than the picture. Two clicks out and quiet and happy !
I'm taking a Clue from YouzGuyz here ... he has 150,000 miles on a stock engine. Don't know how many cam-chains ???
At the current rate of wear , I might have to put the Nitrate Chain on after about 100,000 miles of the Stock Chain ...
