We got freezing rain last night......the road crews were out spreading salt on the roads.

It is officially the end of my riding season - the bikes won't be on the road again until the spring rains have washed the salt away.

On my lunch errands there were snow flurries. Temps are in the mid 30s and moderate winds are enough to make it snow, but of course it's just melting as soon as it hits anything. Contractors working on my house 'had things to do' this afternoon so they left at lunch. Can't say that I blame them though as they are doing outside work tying in two roofs and it's chilly out there!

At least there's a chance they'll grow back.

I'm glad we don't get much "SALT" on the road around here !   Roll Eyes

We get "BRINE" sometimes .

..............

It seems those Calf. wild fires get Bigger every year , and our eastern ridding season get Shorter every year.

I've been working on getting the wife to be "OK" with moving to South Central Texas for four years now (without success) .  Embarrassed

Take her on a tour for vacation.
Go through Hill country, and East Texas.
See Fredericksburg and the surrounding area,

They started with the brine the night before the freezing rain came....then applied salt during the ice event.

(This is one of the roads on my daily commute - I live in a very rural area).
