The other links are riveted like a normal final chain. A dent (lack of vocabulary) on each side of the pin end.

Could be made on my chain with a hammer.

Of course it should be done properly, thats why I ask these questions Wink

The operation was performed today with no complications at all.
The patient survived and are doing fine.

It really was no big deal.
I assembled the link.
Pressed the side plate onto the pins with blows from a hammer.
Placed a nut on top so I could countersink the plate.
Hit both side of each pin with a hammer and a mandrel.
Done!
