Now I need one for my Yamy SR500 that is coming out of mothball after a 15 year hibernation. Hope I can find a new one , maybe the same for a SR400. It's gonna need it with the dual disk up front.

Well the Superbrace for an early Model starts at $US179 and $US205 for post 2005, don't ask me why.

05 was the first year of the plastic crap deflector on the forks.
I don't know if the braces are actually built differently. If they machined a lug to fit the groove in the forks, that's cool.
And it may well make my warning below unnecessary.
If you put a Super Brace on, lay something on the fender to ensure clearance.

Got my superbrace today, going to install tomorrow. I see in the instructions it says to loosen up the fork pinch bolt - what does this bolt do exactly? Can I run the alignment by loosening it?

Be sure to tighten the (it says to loosen up the fork pinch bolt ) after you get the brace installed !    and a little oil  on the bolts will keep them from stripping ... or just "Don't over tighten them"  Smiley
