Where are all the electrics?
09/22/17 at 01:44:29

I came across this on my PinInterest site - I think it's a German or French build but my question is - where could the battery/electrics be? I've customised a few Savages over the years and its always a problem of where to mount the electronics/battery - a beautiful build though and certainly 'minimal'

The little box behind the engine case probably has the battery, ign. module and rectifier.  The wiring is probably run inside the tubing, the coil is between the fuel tanks.

With no turn signals, horn or indicator lights.....you don't need a lot of wiring.

The car license plate is New York.

That is a thing of beauty.

I agree with Dave, there is a large box between the rear wheel and the engine and there is space between the twin tanks.

Gorgeous.  You think they moved the front brake lever to the left side?  I don't see it on the right and they are running a suicide shifter so there would room on the left grip.

Battery, ignition box, rectifier is all that's needed. That cuts out a lot of wiring.

It appears the hydraulic line for the front brake goes along the bottom of the fork yoke, and then goes down the front frame tube.....they have have incorporated the brake cylinder into....something?  It appears like there are several levers on the left side.....clutch & front brake?

I see the battery box now and would guess he has gone for a manual decompression lever - would get rid of the solenoid and associated control box

A nice looking SHOW bike. It will most likely never see any REAL riding. When building a show bike some guys will never ride it or even start it up. Makes the build much cleaner with no wires or oil leaks, so they skip messy wiring and adding oil. Not to nit-pick, but I am surprised he stuck with the belt, a chain would be more period matching.
Looks like he hooked  up the oil breather hose to the petcock vacuum fitting on the carb? Like I said it will never be ridden much.

Checked the site, built as a piece of art. When looked at with that in mind, yes very cool.

That seat looks like a sadist mounted it for someone else to ride.

At That angle? My ten speed was survivable for several hours, but it was sitting a hair down in front.
