Well, we went and got some crab bait yesterday, as the tide was out on our beach....
The crabs love clams, they even crawl up onto these beds when the water covers them.
At night you can wade and scoop them up, just watch your toes  Grin

Ran out to my spot, dropped the traps, anchored up, and went for a swim in the 90 degree weather, too HOT!!!!.....

IT WAS COLD.......

The water, brrrrrrrr.......

But it felt good, once back on deck.
Fished a little, and decided to go peek at the traps.

A quick run back out to them, Denise thinking she would pull the first trap....
She couldn't.
It was stuck to the bottom.
So, I had to go pull it instead.......
It was heavy, with big old crab!

The cooler was plugged in no time, with limits after just pulling 2 traps, with 2 more to go.....

We had to toss back about 7 male keepers, goodness, that is good crabbing.

My wife holding one of the typical sized crabs......and Bot, she has BIG hands, uh, she needs them, if you know what I mean  Wink

Proof is in the pudding, crab with melted butter and home grown green beans, out on the deck, for dinner.....

Oh, had to have Crab Benedict for breakfast, of course.....

And here are the left-overs......lol!

Going back out this evening.....

I could sure use some help, eating this stuff  Wink

Nothing tastes like fresh seafood.
I had crab and smoky , grilled red fish straight outta the bay at San Luis Pass just west of Galveston.
That was so good.. crab is fine eating.

Fresh seafood makes a big diff, fer sure.

My wife made fresh pasta she rolled out, made, into ravioli, then stuffed with crab meat, last weekend, I think it was, mercy, it was so good, the pasta not starchy but creamy textured, it was great.
Tonight, it's crab pizza, yes!

She wants to go out again, the last day of the summer season.
I dunno, I was thinking about it, but I am sore from pulling those guys yesterday.
I see a power puller in my future  Angry
