Reply #17 - 09/03/17 at 16:24:00 I have a Savage that used to eat 1200 cc Sportsters up in the mountains. It also ate Crumpets and Bimmers by the dozen. I only got eaten by 600-750cc crotch rockets and this one Dragon local guy on a white Goldwing ..... Unfortunately, I got old and don't do that so much any more.

Things seem to happen as the years go by, and age is one of those.
Along with age comes slower reflexes and a general tendency to avoid things that might hurt, like running off the road. Oh, I did that already ! And yes, just as expected, it HURT ... A LOT !

Both my Savage and the Sporty can run down the road quite smartly, but due to my age enhanced skills I pretty much limit my heavy right hand to straighter parts of the roads. 😎🏍
