Watched it here.  About 99% totality.  If I were about 30 miles west, it would have been total.  Was neat. I watched with a welding helmet also.

Lights came on. Birds all got quiet. Began to hear a few crickets.

Bot , I had very similar pics on my old phone from the last S/E. It's all surreal, but very cool, all the differences you can notice when it's happening. It was dead still & dead quiet for almost an hour here !

We went north for 2.5 hours to be right on the center line , and it was fantastic  Cool

We stopped at a Sonic and enjoyed a blast while the Sun was getting covered .   It was like a 360 deg. Sun-Set  ... And ... a 360 deg. sun rise .   The Sunrise seemed quicker than the set  ?    
I took my auto darkling welding helmet but what worked best was these two pair of flip-up welding goggles that I've had for years and never use for welding (auto darkling is just to easy).  

Really good Family day out !  Wink
