RYCA won't turn over.. (Read 57 times)

Posts: 39	RYCA won't turn over.. 08/14/17 at 13:35:13 Tried to start bike and will not turn over...tried full choke, throttle twisting, nothing seems to work. Has always been a bit testy to start after sitting for a while, but has always eventually started. Before this, it had a tendency to flood, with odor of gas..but not this time? Suggestions??

John we deal with 1000's of individual problems.
We can't remember 1 bike from another.

start off with listing all your mod's.

I followed the instructions, did the adjustments and the engine ran pretty good. Now that everything is assembled, including a new fuel thingy, it only seems to run, and not that well btw, when the fuel thingy is set to Prime. If I turn the thingy to FUEL, it runs for a few minutes, then it proceeds to run roughly and then stall...
Could this be an issue with the vacuum feed? If so, how do I check it???

Check that vacuum nozzle is plugged off (with raptor mod). Check float adjustment. Needle and seat, make sure the jets are in place. Check the plug for a rich or lean condition.

Reply #6 - 08/15/17 at 06:19:44 Remove the sparkplug and add a little oil to the cylinder to seal the rings (build compression) the bike has been sitting and the oil has drained of the cylinder walls,this will also prevent damage while your cranking it over with no oil pressure.
