Cam Chain tensioner bolt?

Hey all, I was going through my factory repair manual looking up the replace of cam chain tensioner. Cam across the reference in section to the cam chain tensioner bolt, which in photo in manual is no where near the tensioner. What is/does the Cam Chain Tensioner bolt do/hold in place? You can see it in photo of manual page, it's on the side of the cyclinder near top.

It holds the top part of the tension/chain guide in place.......it is the end that pivots.....the bottom end is the part that moves with the tensioner.
