new Dunlop K555 140 80-15

Well the rear tire thar came on the bike was wearing pretty thin so I shopped around and purchased a Dunlop K 555 rear tire $138.00 at a local shop. Got it mounted up tonight, Judy now.
I DID NOT remove the belt guard as some suggested. What a pregnant dog. The wheel csme off and out from under the bike good. I made up a "cheap msns" bike lift using the suggestions from here documented in the Tech section. Worked great! Putting the rear wheel and tire back up in was a "handful" to say the least!!! I can see where removing the belt guard would make it ALOT easier!!!. But being tested stubborn sort of man I am I pushed on thru!!
The ideas and suggestions found here are great thanks.
I took my time on the belt alignment and got her running true and in the center of the pulleys.
She ran smooth, no squeaks or belt noise at all!
The proper tension is what... midway between the pulleys the belt should make a 90° twist of itself?

Correct. 90 degree twist in the center area of the bottom run of the belt using the forefinger and thumb. If ever in question, err in the side of loose versus tight as when you sit on the bike it'll add belt tension as well as when you hit big bumps and compress the shocks.

The belt guard is easier to work around than remove.
