Thought I would share my paradise with you

Re-topped my driveway with 15 yards of crushed rock on Saturday, spread it all by myself, ARG....
The hot tub felt good that night!

Decided I worked enuff already so I put the boat in on Sunday.
Went out and caught crab, and just chilled.

Not as much as my first mate, she hit the bunk letting me do all the pulling after a while......
Little salmon were jumping all over the place, hopefully I will get out and catch some later, BIG ones tho!

Here are a few views from the boat, the results of crab waiting to be dunked in warm melted butter, and the BONES, after the fact Grin

BTW, I made that table you see hanging on the rail of the boat. It is so much easier to pull the crab trap and work it on that table than bending over.
I made it so it rest against the rub rail (outside) with collapsible legs, and is only held on by two removable screws so it can be stored.... I LOVE IT!

My wife and I may do that some day. My wife has a friend that moved to Whidbey Island, and we have an invite to come visit her as well.

Several years ago my wife and I took a week to vacation on the west coast with nothing set up in advance - we had a wonderful time. We started the trip by fulfilling one of my "bucket list" items - and we paid a bit extra and got a private tour of the Spruce Goose...the Hercules 1 airplane that Howard Hughes designed and flew (once). We got to sit in the pilot/co-pilot seats, and see the entire inside of the plane. We even were allowed to stand in the seats and look out the hatches above the seats.

Everyplace we went we found good lodging, good food and friendly people.

I am going "semi-retired" at the end of this year and dropping back to 20 hours a week - so the remainder of this year is going to be busy getting things ready. I have 5 more months of full time...and I have 15 days of vacation to use up in that period. I may be able to travel down to the Dragon again!

In 2018 my wife and I will have a lot more ability to travel - and I likely will retire full time in 4-5 years.

My work won't allow part time, arg. They just laid off a few hundred more on Friday, more to come....
It's getting ugly.
I would welcome a pink slip.
Catching over 50 percent of my gross right now pre tax, which is really sweet, but I am really ready to hang it.
I am letting life dictate the terms right now cause I am no chicken to make any final call 🤔
