decompression solenoid not working

Was working fine when the bike was parked after the last ride about three weeks ago.

Put in a new battery & known good decomp solenoid/controller from a running bike.

NO movement from the solenoid when the start button is pressed.

Direct connect from the battery to the solenoid and it works fine.

Voltage from the decomp controller to the solenoid reads 1.0V

Any ideas?

Voltage to the solenoid should be 12v. ,does the solenoid have a good ground?you should be able to test the solenoid with an ohm meter.

All worked fine about 4 weeks ago when it was parked in the garage.
