Is it obvious that this is my "get stuff sorted" weekend?
I cannot for the life of me find teflon or steel #4 washers. Found brass ones, but they don't fit.
I've now raided the magical mystery draws at Home Depot, and bought some metric M3 washers, which LOOK the correct size. The brass ones were a tiny bit tight to fit on the needle, and tiny bit wide to fit in the hole: holding one against the other, the M3s are a little wider internal and little slimmer external.
The actual question is, before I actually put them inside the carb, is stainless steel safe in this setting? I can't imagine it wouldn't be, but I'd rather check than accidentally do something very silly.
(There was a zinc option for the same washer too, but I've heard odd things about zinc not liking gasoline so decided against them).
