In the books.....

Well today was the last ride to work commute.
She is now in the barn.
Come Monday I will walk on the ferry then ride in a car 31 miles to where I will work on a new jet.
I know some of you prolly think 31 miles isn't much of a commute, and prolly some of you already ride that a day, 62 miles roundtrip.
Up here in the Pacnorwest, in the cold, damp, and wet, that can seem like to hell and back, and drivers just don't look out for motorcycles.
It's a risk I am not willing to take.

I will keep her until I finally pull the switch and turn the lights out on working for good, a little over a year to go.
I will try and visit her weekly, until that time....
She earned her keep, I've no complaints, only a raptor gas valve, a versy timing chain adjuster, and one belt that Dave sent me, to clock over 30,000 miles on her in the 5 years I've owned her straight out of her crate at the dealers......
Bittersweet day, indeed, but thankful for the experience, and excited too, that a new one unfolds on Monday  Smiley

Cheers!

It is always sorta exciting to flip a page in life's book.  This Spring and early Summer here in Syracuse have made me appreciate even more what you Norwesterners' go thru.  A tip of the hat.

And of course, best of luck on the New Plane. Wink

More and more every day we see that people just don't give a flying F about their fellow travelers.
Just a few days ago someone ran down a cyclist in a group and caught on video.
Walk with care my friend.
Set that puppy up with a truck bed so you can do your grocery hauling with it.

I moved to second shift, 3 to 11:30, riding with another islander.
I will keep the bike until I clock out, for GOOD!
Who knows what might happen next.
The company is facing many obstacles and issues, right now.
