You need a new petcock. we don't recommend the original.
get a raptor 660 petcock. see the tech section index for the test and replacement p/n.

The vacuum petcocks on these bikes can and do give trouble. You could turn the petcock to the prime position and see if it runs better. If it does, the petcock could be the problem and should be replaced by a Yamahas 660 Raptor manual petcock. If you do this you must plug the vacuum line.

Only a Yamaha, factory petcock, no Chinese cheapie.
They don't flow right.

Absolutely, just buy the real petcock or you will heave this issue again. Takes all of 5min to install.

It's worth replacing the petcock just for the ease of removing and reinstalling the tank.
Super easy now with the Raptor.

You've had the carb apart 5 times ,did you check the float level on the way out? 26.95-29.95mm /1.06-1.14in

Fastest and easiest way to plug the carb hose is to just cut it, fold it over and put a small hose clamp on it.

Just get a piece of clear tubing and slip it on the drain of the bowl, hold it up by the bowl, see where the fuel level is.
Up to but not above the gasket.

You set the float height by taking off the float bowl ,turning the carb upside down an carefully bending the little tab that the float valve hangs from until the highest part of the rounded float ,measured from the flange, where the bowl and the carb body meet(without the gasket present) is 26.4 to 29.4mm or 1.04 to1.16inches.You can check it with a clear piece of hose as suggested by JOG-2 above. But you should really change your petcock first.
