I stayed dry the entire trip....I just got home a few minutes ago....about 9:30 PM. When I got to Danville, KY I looked at my emails. I saw the attorney for one of the cities I worked for wanted me to inform council about the cost of upcoming projects. He evidently had not received the word that I was out of town (I told the City Clerk before I left)......so I rerouted to the 7:30 City Council Meeting rather that going home. It was good that I went - but it certainly wasn't how I expected to end the day....or the trip.
I had a great time, I rode 1,190 miles on the trip - 395 miles today. The only bad part about the trip home was I hit Lexington, KY at the 4 PM rush hour, and traffic was heavy and slow.
This was my first Road Trip on the Honda NT700, and it proved to be a great Sport Touring bike for me. It is smooth, has plenty of power, and it is very comfortable for my 5'-8" frame, and my backside never got tired on the trip home yesterday. I got somewhere around 58 mpg on the trip.
The bike and I leaving Lynchburg yesterday morning.
