Well, I had intended to put up some photos of the TN trip but I don't know how to copy the photo addresses form my phone or iPad and put them here.  I will have to wait until I get home and do it from the desk top.
So, even though I cannot post photos ...aren't we having SOME FUN HERE !?
YEP !
With good food, wonderful hosts, and motorcycles, what could be better ?

Home! 4 hour trip turned into 5. Had to stop at HomeDepot and get a few severe weather supplies. We're sorta in the path for potential bad weather late monday/tues. It is already gusting here maybe 10-15mp in East Central AL.

Great day of riding yesterday! Thanks to MM and family for hosting us, and the great eatins' and nice bunk house. Great to finally meet Lancer and Versy as well. Just all around great folks here!

Now on to check the generators and chainsaws and tuck away anything that strong winds might take away.

I left early this morning, and I am in Cookeville, KY right now and stopped for a bathroom break and to put on another layer. With no sun it is chilly riding.

Time to get moving again!

Dave , I was watching the radar after you left and the rain was coming in from the East as well as the South .   I was hopping you'd get through the gap before the rain cut it off.   The rain advance was moving West at about 30 mph. and where Tn. 111 and US 127 meet is the northern part of the gap ... for the moment.
Glad you didn't dilly-doddle any about getting North a little !  Wink

Lancer and Versey got clear and will probably never see any of the rain or wind , they got on I-40 put the pedal to the metal and went West !  Grin

I stayed dry the entire trip....I just got home a few minutes ago....about 9:30 PM.  When I got to Danville, KY I looked at my emails.  I saw the attorney for one of the cities I worked for wanted me to inform council about the cost of upcoming projects.  He evidently had not received the word that I was out of town (I told the City Clerk before I left)......so I rerouted to the 7:30 City Council Meeting rather that going home.  It was good that I went - but it certainly wasn't how I expected to end the day....or the trip.

I had a great time, I rode 1,190 miles on the trip - 395 miles today.  The only bad part about the trip home was I hit Lexington, KY at the 4 PM rush hour, and traffic was heavy and slow.

This was my first Road Trip on the Honda NT700, and it proved to be a great Sport Touring bike for me.  It is smooth, has plenty of power, and it is very comfortable for my 5'-8" frame, and my backside never got tired on the trip home yesterday.  I got somewhere around 58 mpg on the trip.

The bike and I leaving Lynchburg yesterday morning.

Glad everyone (Versy?) made it home safe and avoided the weather.

Here's a somewhat ironic picture. I just happened to wear my Dukes of Hazzard tshirt Saturday and had no knowledge of where we were riding or that this would occur. Later in the day we ended up deciding to go to Leiper's Fork where they have some old movie themed cars, and wouldn't you know it, they had The General.

Corny, but I couldn't resist a picture with the car and my matching tshirt.

Versey , sorry you had to go home ... but glad you had a safe trip  !   Smiley

I did a 100 mile ride today up toward Nashville and back on the Guzzi , its more powerful but not as comfortable  as the Savage .   So , if we're going  Wild-Hog style next summer then I'm ridding the Savage .

So , Dave - how many miles a day is the Honda good for ?
Dave , I realize its ... way ... way early -- but you thinking of ridding or trailering .
