MM's Farm Trip
06/15/17 at 07:22:48

THESE EVENTS ARE IN PLANNING AND DISCUSSION RIGHT UP TO THE GO DAY -- THE CONCRETE HAS NOT SET COMPLETELY YET UNTIL IT IS OVER.     I am still plugging in names as people show interest, this gives us a tool for seeing who is really going plus the folks who are going can start the refinement process on dates and activities.

So far we got the following items left in the rough order of doing them.   Adding something is easy, talk it up some, put a firm date to it and we will see if folks are interested by if they sign up for it.

Indian Paintbrush Campground in Ty Denver  Late July  NEED FIRM DATES   Verslagen,  old.indian, Thumperclone

MM's farm     Sept 8, 9 & 10    MM,  Dave,  Lancer,  StewMills, Verslagen1, Springman, Oldfeller

And here is a tool to use in locating some no cost camping when travelling to get to the rides:

https://freecampsites.net

I questioned the removal of my already approved days off -- my days were put in long in advance and were approved long in advance of the athletic events schedule.

My days were reinstated accordingly.

I think we need to plan some sort of rainy day "alternative events" that can take place in the stone house or underneath the covered carport or the aluminum back porch awning area.

Plan B kinds of things to do that would make the trip worth going to even if we lost a day due to rain .....

I think we have all been to MM's place and we know about the barn and the orchard and the cows and the stone house and the car port, awning, etc.

Hey there Oldfeller. I hope life is treating you well. I just wanted to say I cannot make any rides in July this year. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I can make September work for me. We'll see.

I plan to bring a gun or two and enough ammo for everyone to shoot some at MM's.    I will be hauling my Savage on the trailer behind my brown cube so hauling space is easy.

According to Springman's last post he moves over from Indian Paintbrush trip to MM's Farm trip.

As far as rain goes, MM has enough sheltered space, picnic table etc to support a 3 man shooting line.

YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR HEARING PROTECTION

MM, PM me your address please. I want to see how much time I would need to get there and back. Maybe there is some way I could manage to meet up with you guys in September. It sure would be nice if I could.

PM sent .    Wink

Hwy US-64 runs along the bottom of the state (East/West) and Lynchburg is about 15 miles North of US-64 in the middle of the state.   If ya stay on US-64 going East then it intersects with US-129 and runs up to the Dragon.  Wink
US-64 runs over to Lancers house too , in Oklahoma .  Smiley

At present I am still planning on coming.  As time draws near anything can happen (work, family, etc.) but barring an unexpected surprise I'm in.

Springman, I believe you left something here too, Paula found something on the bedside table.  I can't remember what it was off hand.

Thanks Lancer. I guess whatever it was can't be too important as I have not missed it yet. Grin Grin

Somebody poke JOG and wake him up as he was rumblin' about coming at one point in time.    Said he never went anywhere, and if he could catch a ride he'd come.
