When I rewired my tail light and turn signals I used 18 AWG. If you check it with a wire gauge you will probably find that the wire is 20 or 22 AWG.

I always use wire with white insulation and then use shrink tubing in various colors to color code the connections....

Wait until someone else pipes in before you purchase the wire, to make sure the slightly heavier wire will not hurt anything.

I'm not replacing any wiring. The Ryca kit uses 6 (I think) individual connectors for the tail light and turn signals. I want to just replace that with an automotive style clip and I want to make sure I'm getting the right size.
