I have not decided if I am doing it in one day or two. I am leaning towards taking it easy and taking 2 days. I'm not taking a tent so I'll probably get the screened shelter which is still cheaper than a motel.

Big issue was how much to grind down the pulley guard. I must have put it on, taken it off, ground off material and repeated at least 8 times. Royal pain in the back side. It does feel a bit different. I will have to see just how far off the speedo is now.

Your long trip will be a bit more relaxing now.....you got "wings"!

It is best to leave the pulley cover a bit dirty....then you can see where the pulley rubs. The first one does take a little time, after that it becomes easy as you learned which areas are apt to rub a bit.

Thanks Dave, all greatly appreciated. By the way, I took a 10 minute or so test drive after installing the pulley to try it and the led bulb. The led bulb is much brighter than my halogen bulb and it is much more light overall but I agree with you that the lighting is not even, it is like bands of bright and not so bright. So far no issue with other vehicles flashing their lights at me. I'll let you know if that changes.
