New Heads Up Display
04/20/17 at 07:23:27

I had this pop up in an advertising window.

I don't put money down to reserve products that are not on the market, as recently there were some folks scammed out of their money on a new helmet with a lot of electronic gadgets.

But someday this may be an affordable upgrade and you won't have to look thingy your head downward to see the speedo on your fuel tank anymore.  I wonder if manufacturers will stop putting gauges on the bike - and just give you one of these to stick on your helmet?

Whatever if I wear a half helmet and WWI flying goggles?
What if I'm blind in the right eye?
I'm probably gonna want my speedo , regardless of how much thingy gazing it requires.

You should not include "speedo" and "thingy gazing" in the same sentence.  It can cause the wrong mental image....and a bit of a gag reflex to occur.

I'd gag if a guy Other than myself was looking.
But, I get what you are saying. I should be aware that there Are others who are looking for a way to make someone else see just how Wrong something like that can look.
How about you focus on solving problems and I will hone my skills at causing them, huhh? I don't need too much competition.
Shocked

A Heads Up Display can be a very handy thing to have on a bike.
They have been around for decades in the military.

Dude, I Talk the Talk, but if Speedos are part of the equation, I just don't think I can walk the walk. I doubt I could stand up, much less walk.

I think the motorcycle riding Presbyopian Society of Aging Americans will have a difficult time with this. We are already struggling with Iphones, Ipads and cameras. Why doesn't someone invent a cure for bad/deteriorating eyesight?

When I ride I ride , screw all the tronics you guys have strapped on. Me and the bike , you can feel/hear rpms , you know if your speeding. I don't look at the speedo unless I'm doing a hard pull or there's a cop on my butt and let's hope both of those don't happen at the same time ! Older now reaction times have slowed , I don't need any distractions. Play with the iPhone when the ride is over. Being hyper aware while riding a rush and I like it no phones , music , gps , tachs, speedos , heads up display , just me and the bike and the road. Well I got my new grips on what a great excuse to go for a ride.  Shocked

A speedometer that's not between my knees, and not having to pull my cell out of my jacket to check the time would make this beneficial to me.  The tach would be an added bonus, if just to check idle speed and cruise RPM.  The real question is how much is this going to cost, and how involved will it be linking it to my bike. Huh Undecided

Hmmm. I wonder if you had two different bikes set up, if you could jump from one to the other and still have the display on your helmet work? Roll Eyes

The helmet display is good. You don't need music or phone calls on a bike.
