I would also raise the voting age to 26. The idea an 18 year old can vote is ridiculous. I think you gotta have skin in the game to be allowed to vote.

old enough to serve... old enough to vote.

I find it nearly unbelievable that someone actually thinks that only those who pay income tax should be allowed to vote.

Interesting comment.

Let’s say, their is a group of people, who pay, or have paid, income tax.
(In other words they have/had a  JOB).

Then their is another group, of people.
Some, work, but get paid  CASH  under the table, so no  Taxes.
Some are on every, ‘benefit’ program their is.
Most are not even Citizens of this Country.

Now, do you think  that one group, will vote more for the ‘right’.
and another group for the ‘left’. ?

Will one group vote for the, Gimme’s because they are just pure lazy.
And not care about anybody else
(You know, the ones that load up their, ‘Lamborghini’, with FREE  Food, from the food shelf).

And the other group vote for, responsible spending, of ’their dollars’.
and willing to help people that, ‘really’,  need help.

Of course, that rough idea would need refining.
Like someone in Collage, can vote as of age, but has not had a job yet.
And of course,  the, ‘Real’, deserving people that everyone wants to help,
NOT,  the  Freeloaders, Cheaters, lyres, Steals, who today, are the most people on the welfare  programs.

I'd consider an exception for active military, that's skin in the game.

But do you think the college scums at Berkley university for example should have a say in voting? Hell no.

Perhaps we should  just finish with the smoke and mirrors, and let the 5 biggest corporations choose the president, we are almost there anyway.
Save a lot on the bogus elections we participate in.  Do away with corporate taxes, eliminate welfare and social security.  If you don't save enough to retire, then don't retire.  Tax money would be spent on military to "enhance" the vision our corporations project around the world.  And of course more militarized police to keep the domestic scene quiet, with the poor, the deplorables, and misfits in ghettos or prison.

Oh wait, that's the republican party's platform. Grin Grin Grin Grin

LOL - but honestly... you are not too far off..........

So, people that,  ONLY,   Benefit, from taxes,
(and  NEVER  HAD or WILL PAY THEM)
Should be  allowed to vote.
To Get, the  BENEFITS,
From people, that   PAY,  taxes  ???????

Is that kinna like the government,  saying I,  ‘HAVE  TO”,
Make a,  ‘Buffer Strip’ 100 feet wide,
on a  MAN MADE   drainage ditch, which was made in 1902. ?????

Where the government, will STILL  TAX, that land, as,  ‘Production Land’,
Because it  COULD, make a crop.
Yet, it  ‘can not’, according to the,  ‘Buffer strip’, which is  Mandated  ??????

Gee, can you say:  “Catch 22”.

Yep, land of   Gov.   GOOFY, and the ultra  Liberals.
