it ran fine with just the air filter and the stock jardine slash cut exhaust before the ryca muffler, nut I will do a float test later today , and another thing, when i was riding and I pulled in the clutch and let off the throttle It would die , and in N, after revving it, it would die

If the idle speed is too low - or the idle mixture too lean......the engine can die when the engine suddenly comes down to idle speed from a higher engine speed.

This is a result of the closed throttle and high vacuum creating a lean condition....it is a common problem with carbs...especially big ones.  My engine is jetted properly and runs great - but in a panic stop if I let the throttle slam shut and pull in the clutch while I am applying the brakes......the engine can die in the process.
