I'm in Longview, I can be in Shreveport in an hour.
That's a possible, I could see doing that.
I have a backpack cot.. but if someone has a couch that wouldn't have me hunting a chiropractor, cool..

That's sorta funny, I was BORN in Longview, Texas.

I'd plan with an extra early day and stay with MM for a day to allow for body recovery before trekking the rest of the way.

Company on rides is always a good thing ....

Justin,  now, to get you added to the trip list, tell me which trip you are planning to attend again.   Then you need to post on that thread so folks can see that you are coming, etc etc.

Wink

This here thing on this thread is a "way out in the future" planning thread for a trip that hasn't even become listed as it is "too young"  --- Ed L hasn't even given out dates yet.

Dude, my health has been so sketchy the last few months, IDK,, I Want to go,and I might be able to do it..but a couple of days to get somewhere would probably make being there a waste of time. I'd probably be crapped out for two or three days..I'll wait to see, but whichever is closer to Longview would be the most likely.

Hey Jog, I do not know how far you are from the Dallas area, but if you wanted to ride to Oklahoma to Lancer's you could meet up with Kenny and me somewhere in that area. I think the ride from Kenny's to Lancer's is probably less than 300 miles. I do not really know the route yet, but it is just a thought. Huh

Im not able to commit to anything now, but if it looks good later and it won't cause problems if I join in, Oklahoma is in range and I would like to meet and ride with that bunch.

I'm getting old.   MM's getting old.   Lancer is getting old.   Versy is getting old.  Justin is getting old.  Even Dave says he might be getting a wee little bit old.

We are all getting old(er).

We need to attempt to take care of each other in whatever fashions we can and to try to ride in pairs (or more) so there is always somebody there to recognize trouble when it arrives.

(some of us are too darn stubborn to even admit that trouble just rolled up and bit us)

Mighty fine offer, but it's really not what I want. I wanna come meet you guys and ride some good roads. There is one good long, no stops, road, probably eight miles, buncha good curves. It's a fair ride to get to and it's not a road to take to get to anywhere I wanna go,
I would hope there is somewhere between a few of us we could meet up and camp and ride.
I'd expect there is a good place Somewhere in Arkansas.

Jog

I'd expect there is a good place Somewhere in Arkansas.

I went to The CMA campsite at "Iron Mountain" last year and it was a very good ride .    It was about 600 miles one way so I took the SuperSlab where I could , but the last part was 2 lane blacktop - fun roads.   Just North of the Iron Mountain area is a lot of undeveloped woodland and winding mountain roads.   Not as intense as NC but just as never-ending.   I'll bet there are lots of logging roads camp-sites , If we need a "Base-Camp" , I'd be OK with a Pay-to-Camp place.

We vacationed years ago in Hot Springs. I had a Guzzi Nevada.   I went for rides, out around Hot Springs, pretty good, but not like the roads you guys play on.
