That was the idea. The glass goes inside.

The sight glass is visible only when the cover is removed from the oil filter space, which remains "dry".

The problem is that there is really little space and it is possible that the porthole does not properly focus the tensor.
But crazy ideas are very interesting! We need a brainstorming!

Taking off the oil filler cap isn't going to help due to the "wall" between it and the tensioner.
