A  New  Day
02/21/17 at 10:47:24

For the last 8 years,  the price of Ammo  and Firearms  went up.
And their were all sorts of shortages,
Due to the government, or  Hoarding, whichever one believed.
( I believed it was about 25%  Government, and 75%  Hoarding)
to which the people, that  Checked, the factories that were making,
were now (last 8 years), making more than they ever had,
Yet, it could not be found on the street.

Today, just called a local gun shop, asked about .22’s
They set aside a  CASE,  at,  3.00 a box.
  (And  Not  a  Problem)

Just  two months ago, it was , 5.00 a box,
With ONE, box per Day, Per Customer.

Just like the the last year of,  B. Clinton's  ‘reign’.
(For those of you that do not know,  one purchases a firearm,
One has to fill out a form, and the seller must do a, ‘Background Check’.
by phone, takes, 3-5 min, if done right away.
And three things on that, Precede, Delay, Denial.
If you get back a, ‘Proceed’, you can take,  POSSESSION.
If you receive back a, ‘Delay’, it may be another 10 min, or up to 72 hours.
After 72 hours, if the FBI, has Not called the dealer back, and given a ‘ Precede  or  Denial’
Then the dealer, marks date and time on the 4473, and you can take  Possession.)

So What was happening, was, if someone went to a gun shop, and it was a long way away, and they were not able/willing, to come back to that dealer, in 4 days.  Most  Dealers would NOT even SHOW, you a  firearm.

It was a very effective, ‘GUN Control’, for local people.
Which, in 1 month, changed back to what it was meant to be,
after Clinton was out of office.

Some people had a firearm shipped, to their, ‘local’ shop.
They just went in, did the paperwork, and came back 4 days later.
(OF  COURSE,  they to pay,  MORE,  for shipping)
And that was when, two of the  BIG,  shippers, saw the revenue to be gained,
and ‘arbitrary’,  Quadrupled, the cost of shipping,
Stating the firearm, had to go  AIR  Only.

Now,  Why ?
         (As to Purchase)
Why under one party, the  SAME   LAWS,
are enforced One way,
and another Party, the SAME LAWS, are enforced, another way?

 Now  Why ?
     (as to Ammo)
Under one Party, a  whole Bunch of people are afraid of them, taking over, so they, ‘Horde’, ammo?
And another Party, they see no need to ?

Could it be that the people of this Nation, see one Party as a 'Threat', and another one, Not?

Stand in the Street and  CRY
Or get on the Bus

If the numbers you post are true, it only shows one thing.

The idiocracy of the far right.  Those scared, small-minded folks who had to stock up on ammo and guns for the coming of the big bad gubment...

For 8 years - NOTHING CHANGED.  Nothing.

There was no "gun round up".  There was no "ban".  Heck, there wasn't even a background check enhancement after Sandy Hook!

But the good ol' gun industry - with the full support of the NRA - saw to it that they'd make a profit no matter what!  They played upon the fears of those folks and the greater demand!  (they got me too - I target shoot with a 9mm at my local range)

Kudos to the gun industry!  They played the country like EVH plays his guitar!

Excellent! So you can see how the Threat of unconstitutional regulations imposing on our Rights can be manufactured. And, according to you, a Great Conspiracy has been perpetuated upon us, By the Gun Lobby, getting our Elected Representatives to make rumblings that would get people to run buy guns.

Or, we can take the history of this creature and compare it to these words.

mr. and mrs. america turn them all in

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ffI-tWh37UY

The points aren't Mutually Exclusive.

Just because someone is rattling a saber to drive people to buy guns Doesn't Mean that given the chance, a political power wouldn't make being able to defend yourself illegal.

If you don't believe the left aren't being used as the tool for pushing for castrating America fully and completely, you're just not seeing.
Both alleged Sides are playing their roles.
As a society we have come to see certain causes as left or right. It's a big con.

Read
Constitution, Fact or Fiction

Its short, and unpleasant.

Yea, their was a little, ‘bump’, in the road their.

Could be, They stopped, ‘believing’, what they were told.
so they stopped spending money for something, to just sit in the nightstand.

OR, They found out  H.R.C.   LIED,    Again,
(which she repeatedly  alluded to),
Possessing a  Firearm,  is   NOT,
like buying a tea cup off flebay.

OR, they could  NOT,  pass a background check  !!!!!!!!

Hmm, the 4473,  (form you fill out to posses a firearm),
Went from, 3.5 pages, to  6  pages,  Enacted to start this year,
elicited under,  Bama.

The,  ’Straw Buyer’, BATEF rule, was   LIFTED  only for certain shops, under Holders advice, so  Bama  did so.
(Bamas, ‘cover up’, of  Holder)
(Don't think the 'goal', was to make people safe)

4 States, have  Different,    FEDERAL,  rules,  again elicited under,  Bama.
(FEDERAL  rules, as opposed to the single State rules, concerning only that State)

The Purchasing of, 1000’s of semi Truck loads of Ammo,
and then dumping them in the ocean.  Again,  Bama.
(Remember TT,  I am in Minn,  about 35 miles away from a very Large  Ammo  Maker.  Do you think, is it at all,  possible, I shoot, compete, know, people that work their?    Oh  That’s right,  ‘Observed Reality’, is   Really  Not  “Real”)

Bama,  Never did a last minute, (back-door, gun grab, end-run) of BANNING,
Millions of  Social Security people,
from owning a firearm.
(Which was quickly reversed,  thank you Trump)

Of course,  Bama  NEVER,   championed the,  U.N. gun ban treaty,
Which would never pass.   (Thanks NRA)

And he did not sign 23 executive actions, AGAINST    Firearms.
(Which were really pointless, it just showed his,  POV)

And of  course,  Bama, was,  NEVER  critical of the ‘gun’,
when they were used to commit, mass shootings and acts of terrorism.
(And totally   IGNORED,   the  Deranged Person, that would do those things).

And surely  Bama,  NEVER, CONSTANTLY, (when talking about firearms),
said:  “we Need  Backgrounds Checks”.
When they are ALREADY in PLACE.
(Which lead the ‘in-informed’, to believe, ANYBODY, can get a firearm.)
(and before the 'underwear in a bunch crowd', chime in.
Tell me,  Exactly,  how the, 'War on Drugs'  is going)

Never did, Bama, say: “he wanted to work toward reintroducing a federal assault weapons ban”,
or say he wanted to   ‘BAN’   Magazines of over 10 rounds.
(Again, thank you NRA,  for, ‘exposing BAMA's  LIE’  about, ‘assault weapons’.   And   Congress, for  voting,  DOWN,  those ridicules rules).

And of course,  Bama,  NEVER,  stopped the, re, Import, of US  Property
(Mi Garand  and  .30 M1  Carbines),  both  VERY  Historical firearms,
and  never used in a  crime)

And then is the, ‘brass’.   Billions of rounds, each year, are shot in practice by the Military, and a whole bunch, of other government agencies.
That, ‘once fired’, brass,  WAS,  sold to Ammo  Companies, to be re-load, and sell to the Consumer.
But your  ‘buddy’   Bama,   Stopped That.
Made the government buy, ‘brass shredding machines’,
  SHRED  the Brass,
and then SOLD it to  CHINA,
at  LESS, than it would sell for here as brass scrap.

Yep, your (wanna be, KING),   Bama,  sure was   ‘pro’  2nd Amendment.

Wow - just ... wow.

Your rantings are epic.

The fact of the matter is, there were no changes.  Even you said it - and then you go off on some wild tangents.... kinda scary.

But good news to all the the mentally unfit to own firearms - they can own again!!!

SMH.... we get the government we deserve.

Pre 2008, a brick,  (500 rounds) of. 22's  cost  18-22.00
By 2012, they were,  50.00 -75.00.
Today 30.00 - 45.00
(In JUST  the last month, and as many as you want)

I remember, paying, (when I was 12, with my Dad), at the hardware store, .35 CENTS, a  box.  (Which would be discounted to, $3.40 for a  'brick'.    (So we could go to the town dump and shoot rats).

When demand is greater than supply, prices rise. When demand drops, manufacturers can catch up, prices Should come down.
You don't know who was buying the bullets.
Ammunition has to be stored properly to last. Some people MAY have been buying 22s to sell to friends, but I don't believe there was That much hoarding of 22shells to create a years long shortage. Sneer at gun owners all you want. There ARE other forces that can impact supply, from government purchase to government paying factories to simply crimp supply.

Well, it could be called, fear.
Or could call it, preparation for something you hope never happens,
but if it does, you are not caught,  “flat footed’.

Could call  a  fire extinguisher, and smoke detectors, in the house,
     fear.
Or they could be called, preparation for something you hope never happens.

Could call, stopping at a intersection on your MC or Cage,
And looking both ways, twice,  before you proceed,
     Fear
Or you could call it, very Common Sense.

Another point, the, ‘hoarders’,  made money.
It was a cottage industry.

I remember one time, went to a gun shop, and scored couple boxes of ammo I use.
Had to stop for gas.  As I was filling up, a car pulled up next to me.
Out came a very good looking, scantily dressed, woman.

She saw the ammo sitting on my car seat, and said:
(Very provocatively, leaning, and hunching her shoulders forward)
“  Ya Know, I  am into,  ‘Barter’,  would you like to, ’trade’, for that ammo “

I Thought about it for a while, then said:
“What kind of Ammo you have”
