Float bowl gasket query
02/15/17 at 03:43:11

Hi y'all.

Gonna do some more carb work tomorrow and I bought a new float bowl gasket. The old one seemed OK last time I had it out but I thought it best to have a spare on hand.

Anyhoo, I was just wondering if I do use a new gasket does it require any prepping, or just put it on dry.

No oil......if you were going to put anything on it, I would use silicone grease.....just enough to make the surface slick.

However.....the float bowl gaskets seem to hold up just fine without anything being applied.
