That is a real eye opener! When I took the MSF course, the instructor said to ride "Naked and Afraid", meaning you have little protection and you should be ever vigilant and prepared to take defensive action. Now for a little anecdote: Two Rangers I knew at Fort Bragg (many years ago) both got their SGT stripes, and to celebrate went out and bought new Honda 750-4s. Wicked fast bikes. Both crashed within a week. The study points out that inexperienced agressive rider are 30 times more likely to crash. I guess they're right.

I read something years ago in a motorcycle magazine , in most cases if you survive your 1st year your second year Your chances are 50% better and so on and so on !

So when your as old as JOG you have no excuse for crashing your bike !
