What would have changed if Congressional districts were awarded electors? So, would it have changed the outcome? As you say, Trump would have actually won delegates in California, but he would have lost delegates from Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, my state of Missouri etc...Yes, Changing, State Rights, to a Electoral Collage system like Maine & NE, Would have changed, the EC Votes, in this election.
Which would have gained and lost some in certain States, for each party.
However, Trump, overall, would have gotten MORE, EC Votes.
Someone has probably already calculated electors by Congressional districts, but has anyone seen it?Have Not see any. Don't know of any. But wow, would that be, Eye Opening !
(And it would be very interesting to see, how that would have applied to past POTUS elections)
Also, if that were the law of the land, what would the unintended consequences be? How would the parties try to scam the system? It would remove the, ’Safe’, ’Swing’, ‘Fly Over’, State Status.
And it would give voice, to the People who Live in 5 Districts in MN.
Not to just 3.
(And MOST, Other States as well!)And, I believe, it would Greatly Alleviate, the Massive, ‘Voter Fraud’, issue.
I am just going to use Minn.
Minn has voted Dem for the 19 times out of 22. starting in 1932.
(52 -54 Ike, and 72 Nixon)
Because I am familiar, with how well they, ‘HIDE’, information on their State web site.
And know where the 8, Congressional Districts are.
(Someone else, will have to do Calf, and their 53 Districts,
but just guessing it would have been, 35-20 (+/-)
This year, the EC Vote in MN, would have been, 5-5, NOT 10-0.
The 3 districts, which Voted for, C,
were, Mpls/St Paul, (Twin Cities), Rochester, Duluth.
All, very Densely packed Metro Areas.
Without going into sheets and sheets of numbers.
The overview:
State Total: 1,367,717 C / 1,322,951 T (C by 44,765)
(8 Other Candidate votes were, 254,152)
In
just 3, (METRO Districts) Clinton won.
In the 5, Out State Districts Trump won.
( But NONE, of those 5 Districts Votes Counted !)
What a, ’split’ would do.
I believe, it would Greatly Alleviate, the Massive, ‘Voter Fraud’, issue.
(Which is HOW, Franken won)https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2014/10/24/could-non-citiz......Al Franken ’s 312-vote win in the 2008 Minnesota U.S. Senate race as one likely tipped by non-citizen voting. As a senator, Franken cast the 60th vote needed to make Obamacare law. ...
