I was there the last of June (22-25) and it was Hot and Moist .  Great ridding weather (If ya ever stopped the sweat would start  Grin ).

It was the National Rally East 2016.

I'm gonna beat the bushes some for people to pay some attention and list themselves for the trips that interest them most -- also gonna start pointing the ongoing discussions at the sticky thread and letting this one go down the list as it has done its job of getting us started.   Can't be having it in two places, gets confusing it does.

As always, bringing somebody along with you is fine -- just give them a heads up about the rest of us so we don't give them any surprises.

Push your idea some -- seek out things to do and get people to sign up for it.   Hell, PM them and ask them about it.  We need different new trips to capture the new attendees budding "I wanna go".

As winter creeps on, our "I wanna go" gets stronger and stronger.

MM, what'cha doing up in the middle of the night again?

Yep, Jeb had him a "pass them in the turns" cherry that needed popping and I think he may remember that trip for the rest of his life.

I was easy meat for him to learn on -- ol' Santy Claus on a motorsickle -- I taught him by example (and indeed we passed a lot of slow moving stuff) and Jeb was always trying to get past me and a' pushing at me ---- but he didn't get himself hurt until he went off Dragon riding off all on his lonesome with nobody out in front to moderate him jest a tiny little bit ....

Jeb is on the left and you can see from his face he was good training material.    The guy on the left was a nice normal person staying at the campsite who rode with us once or twice until you and Jeb scared him with your crazy fast curves ....  I was not there and ipso facto I was not guilty of anything ....

What was yellow jacket's name again ???    And what road took a plug out of him?

Jeb is gonna show back up riding a newish 600cc crotch rocket intent on schooling my butt really really good .... you know that don't you?    And he could very likely do it.

I definitely want to join you guys for at least one ride next year. I certainly intend to go to Arkansas at some point but Versy's Denver suggestion is also appealing. Actually all the suggestions are appealing, I just need to see what time frame will be the easiest for me for getting away from work and home for a week. And possibly I can get my brother-in-law Steve to join us with his HD fire breather.

That's the beauty of our list system, we generate ideas, count takers, fiddle with the ideas, scrap some, modify some, add some until we get a stable set with dates and a plan behind each one.

Then we turn it over to the folks going on each trip to start a separate trip thread (when they get past the "enough takers" point) where THE PEOPLE GOING ON THE TRIP control all details past that point to suit the group itself, not me nor the rest of the peanut gallery.

For example, Lancer needs to invent some firm dates for folks plan to arrive and to plan to leave, then start a separate trip thread since he's already got enough takers on his trip to make it viable.

You can do a trip with two people, we've done it lots of times.   Start you up an Arkansas trip by slapping down a place to meet, some places to go and a meet up date and lets see what it does.

Or take MM up on his suggestion:   Arkansas: March 30-April 2, 2017
Location: Iron Mountain, Hatfield, AR  www.cmausa.org

For example the two Florida rides are going soft because Old-Rider hasn't chimed in yet, but they will firm up when he does.

What was yellow jacket's name again ???    And what road took a plug out of him?

I think his name started with a "R" (Russ ?) and I'm sure he was from Baton-Ruge  LA.   He was in front of me on a Dragon run , but really pokey.  Well I passed him - then slowed down to give him some "set-the-corner-up" pointers, he caught on for a while , but disappeared at "Hog-Pen-Bend (mile 7.5) ".   I went back and helped him out of the ditch.    It's a left-hand  1 mile from the Over-look.
He came on up to the over-look but desired to stay at the overlook till we were all-the-way-out-of-sight ...  Wink .   Grin Grin Grin

I'm sorry about that Russ !   Sad
