I have the upswept Mac exhaust, however, I'd like to get rid of it, mac now has a full pipe for the savage, what do you guys think?

I think it would look great on a cafe build.

But would it look silly on a relatively stock savage?

I think it looks good - but does it "muffle"? Huh

It could be a bit of a problem for any one that carries a passenger, as the pipe is really close to the rear pegs and they will likely burn their shoes (or leg) on the muffler.

I think it looks decent enough. Mac stuff is usually pretty loud because their mufflers are pretty minimal. The 2 into 1 on my Honda CX500 is downright raspy.

The ad states that it doesn't interfere with side and center stands. COOL! I always wanted a center stand for my Savage.

It is a 2 wall pipe like the stock one is....so the outer pipe is 2" like the stock header, and the inner one is most likely very close to the inner pipe size on the stock one....around 1-1/4".

I like it and think it will look good on any style bike.  Just don't let passengers ride in sandals.  But honestly who rides double on a Savage?

Now here comes my last question, louvered straight through is like a glasspack, right? With theright jetting would this run good? Or would it need more backpressure?

Everything has to be balanced, less back-pressure, more thru put.
But that won't do you any good if you have a restriction upstream.
So, larger intake, better cam, porting, etc.

The CV carb works well with the stock configuration, but not vary well with unbalanced 'high performance' mod's.

I'm not looking to gain much performance, I just want a new pipe, and this one just happened to catch my eye, I'd also like a little more volume than what I have now.
