So the next upgrades would be slide carb and upgrade cam and new cam chain while at it. But I was thinking about the discussion of tuning Intake this summer and was wondering if our
stock carb being that it is a vacuum carb could it work with a kuy hypercharger?
Would have to return to stock petcock? Would have enough vacuum to move the butterflies? And if it would or does work would it be a better upgrade to tune the air intake with that or go with the slide carb?
Or ....... start with slide carb and modify the hypercharger butterflies to open with throttle cable instead of vacuum......
A lot of ifs in this post sorry
Are you talking about a Kuryakyn Hypercharger ?
If so, I've got one on my Sportster now, but will be removing it shortly. It is just an expensive metal container for a small filter element. It does nothing to jack up power.
It is rather large dimensionally which would make it difficult to mount as well. But if you want to try to mount it you are welcome to use the one I have when I pull it off. If you get it on and want to keep it then we can talk about price. It would be a good deal.
