Stolen t-shirt design
10/07/16 at 04:21:35

So, I've been searching for a cool, retro design to modify a little and make into a t-shirt for myself to reflect my new love for the Savage. After a few days of scouring Google images, I came across the logo for Full Throttle Motorcycle Supply and thought to myself, "Well Jon, that's a neat image of a racer dude". I loved his helmet, goggles and cool outfit with all the interesting creases in his jacket.

So I removed the lettering and replaced it with something more appropriate. Then, I wiped off the original thumper engine and replaced it with a two-toned Savage engine. After adding a few final touches, I think I've got something I'd like to submit to have screen printed. Just thought I'd drop it in here to get a few reactions before sending it off to CustomInk.com

Here's the original that I "borrowed".

Just don't sell them. Some people don't take stuff like that lightly, it might be a trademark infringement or something to that effect! ! But I would like one , it's very cool ! Hate to see you in legal trouble over a tee shirt !
Send me a PM when they are ready !

I'd say remove the lightning bolts and replace them or not.

One thing though... the engine looks pasted in.
It's not leaned over to match the bike.

I like the concept. When it's all dialed in I'd buy one (L) on a dark blue or dark gray T.

Thanks Ruttly,

I wasn't thinking of selling any Savage shirts. I can't really figure out what went down with the suzukisavage.com tshirts but I didn't think that design wasn't all that terrific to begin with. I guess I just don't like the skull.

Honestly, I was just messing about trying to come up with something cool looking that I might be able to get printed on a extra large, long sleeve shirt to wear during the winter while I couldn't ride very often. If I ever wanted to make one to sell, I know that I'd pretty much have to come up with an original design that has nothing to do with any other existing logos or brands.

I guess I was just looking for some constructive criticism. But that being said, I'd be glad to give my "final" image design to whomever wanted it if anybody thought it was all that and a bag of chips.

And....I think the size of the engine needs to be scaled down and moved back a tad.  The engine is t is too tall and too hanging down too low and touching the front wheel.

Cool!  Vote submitted for a "M".

FYI - I've used bluecotton before and was very pleased with the results...can't remember their prices though as it was a few years ago.
