I have recently switched from rotella t6 back to rotella triple protection dino and redline additive. Someone just told me switching from synthetic to conventional can cause an engine knock. Is this true?

You can switch back and forth between dino and synthetic without any issues......and you can even buy oils that are a mixture of both in the same bottle (synthetic blends).

And contrary too other folklore....you can even break in an engine using synthetic oil without issues.  Some new cars even come with synthetic in the crankcase right from the factory.

We knew that... That's why we lied...

Rotella is most definitely your friend.

And it's delicious with a nice vodka sauce and a glass of red wine.

I ride year round and in the warmer months I use dino and in the winter I use t6.  So far so good  .

i switched back to dino because people said T6 could make your clutch slip.

Well i don't really know, just gleaned that info from one of the rotella threads a couple months ago.
