I explain Why I have a position. I get back some one liner response and I'm supposed to understand what others have seen, experienced, read about, somehow I am supposed to suddenly understand WHY I am being disagreed with.
If someone wants to affect how others think, they need to explain what real, tangible reasons they have for seeing things differently than I. Now, if something there sounds like it's from someone who is intellectually unable to be reasonable or, as has been suggested, is in need of medication, I would suggest that THAT person is the one who is less capable of reasoned communication.
IOW, just trash talking isn't debate. If someone intends to change what I believe, they will have to tell me what they believe, and WHY. I think I've been careful to explain why I believe things. I don't see REASONS in return, just cute little one liners.

I'm still waiting for the gun banners to explain Why the second amendment exists, and I think PG was curious to see if anyone understood the third.. Could be an interesting debate,,

And there is the recent push for an Article 5 convention. I signed a petition to support that today.
