It's noisy sitting stil, so,
Not the belt, not a bearing,
The Stock muffler chirps like a VW,

Did I overlook the kind of exhaust you have?
How old is it? The muffler,,
How many miles on the exhaust?

Tell us about it, really, just one day, going down the road,
Aaaaaand then..... a tiny chirp, a big bang, what?

Oh.....the Savage can do that when the stuff inside comes loose.  It can also make the VW air cooled Beetle sound.

I think you need to try and isolate where the chirp is coming from if we are going to be of any help.

Take a 3 foot long piece of hose (like a garden hose), and hold one end up to your ear....and move the other end around and find out where the chirp is the loudest.
