I agree, a,  'FLAT"  Tax.  BUT -  (SAME  % for ALL)

But that will NEVER Happen.
100's of thousand, IRS Agents, now out of work.
100's of thousands, of  (H&R Block type)   CPA's, out of work.
100's of thousands, of, 'Tax' Specialists, out of work.

If a, 'Adjusted % Tax', then the 0%, would be doing ALL the, 'fudging'.

+1...

I would prefer a graduated flat tax...
On income, capital gains, and interest...
First $25,000   0%
Next $25,000 10%
Next $50,000 20%
Next $150,000 30%
over $250,000 40%...

Numbers to be adjusted to cover cost and payment of deficit...until we're out of debt...with a goal of being debt free in 25 years...

Would someone who has a printer print out the first part of Bots post and mail it to me?
Just get it down to the

I have a spot on the wall where that would fit Perfikk.

You guys are dinasours.......:
The sky is falling, eh chicken little?
The poor pay taxes now on consumption, and have not died, yet.
More taxes will be collected accordingly and fairly, which will then fund other programs to assist those who NEED IT, not to fund and promote a sustained lifestyle.....

But hey, keep thinking in the box.

Maybe you guys could take a moment and sit back and think about that. Maybe I'm not just ate up with the narrative that the right pushes. MAYBE I really Do care about people and Maybe I don't support any agenda so much as I want what is right for the People.
Yeah, we disagree on the Path to making life better for the masses.
I really HAVE studied. A corporate income tax is paid for by every customer. Increasing costs to the consumer.
The employees and consumers are who pay ALL the taxes, except for the taxes on profits made passively.
There are a few percentage points to split hairs over, but without a doctoral thesis, that is generally true.
The CEO didn't do the work and buy the product that earned the millions he pays tax on
Corruption, cheating, well, been going on and with the moral and legal issues, will continue, but if America wants jobs, America MUST compete with other countries to create a more business friendly environment.
We HAD JOBS, WHY did the companies move or close?
Answer THOSE questions, and change the policies that caused it.
I say it was better before the trade agreements.
Play party politics, pretend YOUR side is better.
Why didn't your side repeal it?
Both alleged Sides have been in power.

I EXPLAINED why.
You EXPLAIN why.
Not just, they are paying taxes now.
Actually, most aren't paying nearly what they would if your idea was adopted.
Just because it's obvious that your idea stinks doesn't mean I don't want to see change.
Painting an anvil orange and stenciling
Life Preserver
On it is
Thinking outside the box
But, it's not gonna save anyone.
You either explain WHY what I said is wrong or admit you can't.

You claim, against all reason

ore taxes will be collected accordingly and fairly,

But you don't see that the people making millions will BANK MILLIONS, and only pay tax on what they spend, while the POOR spend ALL OF THEIR EARNINGS, just to live?
Explain why I am wrong.
Don't just declare it, no babies and bathwater crap,
Explain.

I am NOT a liberal....

I am a socialist.  Grin
I was for Bernie, before he was for Hillary.

I am glad he sold out now, and showed he really is a capitalist, like Hillary.
Before I vested any more faith in him.

However, I still believe our repair lies in schooling, and banking/tax codes/collection.
And affordable healthcare ( which I tie in with schooling ).

Whats with the universities that eat up mega bucks to showcase their campuses....
How does that make anyone smarter?

Why can't we use vacant strip malls, etc?

I believe society should decide on its own social issues, and not the government, that will NEVER work, hate crime being a perfect example...
ALL CRIME against another person involves some form of hate.
The more heinous, the greater the sentencing....
Stop with the semantics, its hard enough to reach a consensus without playing word games too!

See, I am all for more socialistic programs, with smaller government intervention, and footprint   Shocked

I think I will create a new term, to describe folk with like mind.

Crazinessism  Grin

Best regards,

Yes, I know.
He got a GREAT deal on it.
He bought it from Trump, who bought it in foreclosure from Ma & Pa Kettle.
Its not fair, I know.

The neighbors, the Waltons, especially John Boy, as a famous writer, should have helped them out in tough times, but he thought they would take advantage of Obama's buy out ZERO interest loans, but Nnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooo.

They didn't want to appear needy.

It would be like voting democrat, ARG.

Face it buddy, the limpdick republicans can't fight out of a paper bag.
Folks have given them a chance, senate and house majority, and one Whitehouse butler (yeah, ain't I racist)  stops them cold in their tracks....like a deer in the headlights!

Ya know, if they believed in themselves, others might too.
But ya gotta take a stand if you believe its the truth.
Take your punches.
If you get knocked down, get back up.
Learn from it.
Next time look for the hook, and counter with a jab.....

But then again....

Lord, we are in for a spell.
Might as well get use to Hillary.
Also, you might get surprised.

Her plate will be so full she won't have the luxury of eating off just one side of it, no....
And who better to know what not to eat, that which is on the left side of the plate, than the person who cooked, and served it?  Grin

Did I miss the defense and explanation WHY a consumption tax isn't going to hurt the poor?
And how would America not see net decreases in tax collections?
If I make five million and spend one million, the four I banked/invested, is  untaxed.
Ray, stop running in circles and Explain WHY you are right
Or admit that idea won't work.
